I am a single Mom of four boys.
I have used my Lifeline phone to call 911 on two separate occasions. Once when a field next to our home caught fire and once when my 6-year old had a fishing lure hooked in his leg. I was able to quickly call for the paramedics. I’m so thankful to have my Lifeline phone.
- Juanita E.
I have a fixed income and can barely afford to pay for my medication every month.
My daughter lives out of town and my Lifeline phone is the only way that I have to stay in touch with her. I also use it to make my doctor’s appointments and get my prescriptions refilled at the pharmacy.
- Henry T.
Access to jobs is key.
Lifeline allows me to communicate with family in personal emergencies and also allows employers to contact me with job offers.
- Seay W
My son matters.
I used my Lifeline service when my son was having an asthma attack.
- Angela M
I can take care of my mom.
As a caregiver, it is critical that I have a way to keep in touch. Thank you for the wonderful blessing.
- Nicodemus I
This phone helps me feel secure.
At age 70, having a phone at my fingertips contributes greatly to my sense of security and safety.
- Phyllis B
I can stay connected.
Being on a fixed income with a physical disability that prevents me from leaving my home much, my Lifeline phone helps me stay connected.
- Charlie C
My life depends on it.
I could not afford phone service without Lifeline. As someone who is disabled, the consequences of not being able to reach doctors, the pharmacy or EMT dispatch would be life threatening.
- Lou M
I'm able to communicate when I'm in distress.
I would have been stranded in severe weather without my Access phone. I broke down on the highway and my Access phone was the only means I had to call for help.
- Diane R
I can feed my family.
Because Lifeline gives me an allotment of minutes and texts for free, I can use the money I would have spent on phone service to feed my family.
- Donald C
I now have work.
If I didn't have Lifeline service, I would not have had the ability to get a job.
